I’m a freelance Rive animator and interactive motion designer specializing in app mascots, AI assistants, animated user interfaces and expressive robot faces.
The animation needs a clear path from the design file into your application. I define the control contract, reusable states and reset behavior so your team can connect real product data to predictable visual feedback.
Each project can include organized timelines, reusable rigs, documented inputs, event mappings and integration guidance tailored to your product.
Designed for motion. Structured for development.
Developer-ready deliverables
Interactive Rive .riv files
State machines with clearly defined behavior
Boolean, number and trigger inputs where appropriate
Reusable character rigs and animation states
Facial expressions and lip-sync-ready controls
Responsive animation layouts
Performance-conscious asset preparation
Input documentation and integration guidance

The final asset formats, controls and integration support are agreed in the project scope. Runtime support determines the available features.
02 — RIVE ANIMATION SERVICES
Interactive motion for apps, websites and AI products.
Whether you’re launching a mobile app, building a SaaS dashboard or creating a conversational AI experience, I can help you build motion that feels native to your product.
01
Interactive App Mascot Animation
Give your mobile app a character that reacts to real user actions. Idle animations, greetings, celebrations, progress reactions, achievements and emotions, connected through custom state controls.
Bring personality to robot displays with animated eyes, blinks, emotions and mouth shapes. The animation architecture is planned for the device’s supported display and runtime.
Animated buttons, loading indicators, success states, navigation, progress and interface transitions that make product interactions easier to understand.
I connect animation behavior to the information your product already owns: request status, user progress, validation results and voice playback state.
A small, documented adapter keeps product logic separate from animation internals. Your developers get named controls, value ranges, reset rules and lifecycle guidance.
Idle, Listening, Thinking, Speaking, Success, Error and Celebration, with transitions designed around your product’s interaction requirements.
02
Reusable animation controls
Documented inputs, properties and triggers let developers control expressions, gestures and reactions through a clear animation contract.
03
Animation integration support
Organized Rive assets and scoped guidance for supported JavaScript, React, Flutter and React Native workflows. Feature support is checked against the target runtime.
04
Responsive, considered motion
Layouts prepared for different display sizes, with performance constraints and reduced-motion alternatives considered during the project.
INTERACTIVE UI STUDY / LOCAL DEMO
One event. A clear response.
Idle. Start a sample request to see its UI states.
A browser-only interaction study. No network request or production data.
Explore two published examples from Mascot Engine, the studio I founded. Their technical breakdowns show how character behavior is connected to product state and reusable controls.
PRODUCT FEEDBACK / STATE MACHINE
Orange Feedback Mascot
A published mascot example with neutral, thinking, success and recovery behavior. Product events drive a documented state machine while status messages remain in the interface.
A published login example driven by safe authentication status values. Data-bound properties express success and failure while credentials and validation stay in the application.
The linked portfolio pages document animation behavior and implementation. They do not report production load times, task-completion changes or conversion results. File size alone does not establish rendering speed or user impact.
Give your product a character users can interact with.
Interactive mascots can serve as guides, companions, coaches, reward characters or animated assistants inside a product. Their behavior follows what is happening in your application.
I design these responses using reusable character animation and Rive state machines, giving developers a practical way to connect motion to product logic.
An app mascot acknowledges confirmed progress when a user completes a task.
02
A conversation becomes an expression
An AI companion switches between listening, thinking and speaking as the conversation changes.
03
A changing state becomes a reaction
A virtual pet changes its expression as the application updates its activity or energy.
06 — DEVELOPER RESOURCES & EXAMPLES
Learn Rive. Build better interactions.
Practical resources for understanding interactive animation and preparing it for real digital products. Start with the state model, then plan the platform integration.
FIELD NOTE / 01
React integration planning
Component ownership, loading, cleanup and the animation control boundary.
Current platform resources are planning guides and application-level examples. End-to-end Rive SDK demos require a real asset and target-runtime validation.
A Rive animator creates interactive animations using Rive. Animation can respond to application states, triggers and user interactions through features such as state machines.
Can Rive animations work in React, Flutter and React Native?
Rive provides runtimes for supported web and mobile platforms. Implementation depends on the runtime version, required features and integration architecture. Assets and controls are prepared with the target platform in mind.
Can you create an interactive mascot for my mobile app?
Yes. I create animated mascots with character rigs, expressions, idle loops, progress reactions, celebrations and other behaviors controlled through Rive state machines.
Do you create AI assistant and chatbot animations?
Yes. I create interactive animation systems for AI assistants and chatbot characters, including listening, thinking, speaking and emotional states. Additional facial and mouth controls can be scoped around your product requirements.
Can you animate robot eyes and facial expressions?
Yes. I design digital faces with eye movements, blinking, emotions and configurable mouth shapes. Runtime and hardware compatibility must be evaluated for the target device.
What files do developers receive?
Deliverables depend on the agreed scope and may include .riv files, organized animation controls, input mappings, interaction specifications and integration examples for the supported target runtime.
Can you work with my existing mascot illustration?
Yes. I can evaluate existing vector or layered artwork, identify missing parts needed for movement and prepare it for rigging and animation.
How much does custom Rive animation cost?
Pricing depends on character complexity, illustration requirements, animation states, interactive controls, platform constraints and testing needs. Share your project details for a tailored estimate.
